The example offered below merely gives an idea of what our time together may look like.

Months 1-4

In most cases, we’ll begin our time together with activities that develop clarity on the vision of where you want the organization to go. 

From there, we’ll dive deep into your current financials and organize them so they are more useful, timely, and easy to access for your decision-makers.

This phase may include: 

  • Ensuring reliable and accurate financial information is quick-to-access for anyone who needs it 
  • Automating time-consuming financial activities that are currently being done manually
  • Bookkeeping
  • Preparing financial statements
  • Managing audit and reporting requirements 
  • Establishing financial controls to minimize risk and protect assets 

Months 5-9

After we’ve “made sense” of your finances and determined where you want to go, we’ll move into analyzing what’s possible for the future. 

Together, we’ll look to the financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting critical to strategic decision-making across the company. 

This phase may include: 

  • Supporting your decision-making with ongoing budgeting and forecasting activities

  • Preparing financial presentations and attending Committee and Board meetings
  • Working through budgeting activities with your leadership 
  • Developing quarterly forecasts and effective pipeline reporting   
  • Considering your position and processes for funding from new sources

Months 10 and onwards

Once the fundamental work from our first two phases is complete, we’ll be ready to explore your options for growth and strengthening your impact in the long term. 

This phase may include: 

  • Modeling new potential business opportunities
  • Identifying your key metrics (both financial and impact-based) to use going forward
  • Consulting on expenses and contracts
  • Creating dashboards for shared financial language across your team 
  • Negotiating contracts as needed 
  • Leading strategic discussions with your Boards, Committees, and CEO
